About the location
Discreetly tucked away yet conveniently located, Villa Nicara, at Kolios, is situated half way along the sheltered, southern coast of the island, overlooking the sea with far-reaching views to the island of Evia and Mount Pelion on the mainland of Northern Greece.
Within easy reach ( just some 50m from the sea) the two fine sandy beaches of Kolios bay and Platanias at Paraskevi, are just a 5-7 min walk away.
We are only a 15 minute drive or bus ride away from both the picture-postcard town of Skiathos (with its maze of narrow, cobbled streets, quaint red-roofed houses, picturesque port with smart yachts moored alongside traditional colourful fishing boats and several pretty churches) at one end of the island – and the world-famous Koukounaries Beach at the other.
The quiet narrow lane behind us leads directly, through olive groves, gentle hills, valleys, river beds and mule tracks to the unspoiled pine forests,of the still largely undeveloped island interior. Its a ramblers dream!
